2000 Dodge Dakota R/T By John Fuoco

Submitted via 440'S Dodge Dakota R/T Zone

This is my 2000 Dodge Dakota R/T. I bought it used on December 12th, 2003 It is one of the 117 Reg. Cab Bright White Dakota R/Ts built for that year.  I love everything about my truck. Every time I get in it and start it up I get excited. There's never a dull moment driving it. You have to love the power and great handling.

Mods:
An AAR functional fiberglass cowl induction hood, Lowered with DJM suspension, TYC tail lights, Urban Industries flush mount fiberglass tonneau cover, Rhino Linings spray-on bedliner, Sylvania Silverstar headlights and signal lights, EBC slotted rotors and Green Stuff SUV/Truck Pads. I also painted the black door and tailgate handles, as well as the black antenna mount, white to match. They should have came that way from the factory. An DEI Viper alarm with remote start was also added. I also added a window mod to it, that allows you to roll the windows down by the remote and automatically rolls the windows up every time the alarm is set.

It's 5.9 magnum engine is basically stock with only minor modifications: K&N intake, Taylor wires with Autolite 3923 plugs, 180 degree thermostat, IAT sensor mod. I plan on doing more stuff to the engine to get some more performance out of it but money is always tight. Some of the stuff I would like to do are: M1 intake manifold, headers, 1.7 Harland Sharp roller rockers, Mopar valve covers, electric exhaust cut-out system, ditch the clutch fan for a Flex-o-lite electric and should I ever get the money, a 408/6.7L stroker is in the plans.
